.......THE CURSE OF VENICE is its all too frequent flooding, and here you see tourists in St. Mark's Square trying their best to deal with it. The photos of the flooding were taken (by another tourist) 2 days AFTER we left Venice, but I wanted to include them with our photos because as they say, "Seeing is believing!" The photos (above and below) show the raised platforms that are set up for just such occasions, but seem only wide enough for "thousands" of tourists to walk across single file.
I LOVE life, my family, my friends, my pets, Persian cats & animals in general, TRAVEL, MUSIC, ALL my hobbies, and I show enthusiastic support for all the above! Plus I always try to live by the "Golden Rule", ("DO unto others as you would have them do unto you!)" To me, that is the most important "rule" in life!!
